Rehab is the Ultimate "Get Out Of Trouble Free" Card!

As you may have heard, San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsom admitted to the public Thursday that he had an affair with his former campaign manager's wife. Monday he told the public he was checking himself into rehab, stating "After talking with my friends and family over the weekend, I decided my life would be better without alcohol."

Don't get me wrong. I have empathy for people trying to fix their problems, but I am so tired of celebs and politicians checking into rehab every time they screw up and the public feeling sorry for them.

Lindsay Lohan was another celeb to pull this. Only I think she was doing cocaine, NOT alcohol. That's another NOT HOT trend: Admitting you're an alcoholic when you're actually a coke head. I know alcohol is legal, and that's why they use the excuse, but dammit people, let's stop putting these people in power! You never hear about Bill Gates tying one on or Donald Trump sniffing a line....That's cuz it doesn't happen!! Our kids need better role models! Who's with me??
